The the figures show the world with focus on Germany, the sunny side and the side seen from the moon.
Day side, is beeing formed by a truecolour map, night side by a night light map, which shows artificial enightement of urban regions. The whole is overlaid by the actual cloud layer. So you can see how is the weather in the different parts of the world.
